La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad

Booked a double queen room in advance but had to switch to a king + sofabed after getting a call due to overbook. I accepted it as it is just for one night. But after checking, we found that room was not even ready for us. We found the TV running on a random channel, coffee tray is at the floor. It looks like someone was there then switched the rooms. Sofa bed was not prepared, I found items, prepared the bed. The room was ready for 3 people not for 4. Front desk was not well informed about the area or caverns. They couldn't even provide explanation about overbook. Morning breakfast was OK with limited seating. It was a convenient location for caverns. I would suggest to check another hotel in the area.

We came into town due to an unexpected emergency and were so thankful for our stay here. The cost was very reasonable, especially given how clean and spacious the rooms were. The pool area was amazing and offered a much-needed place to relax for our kids. Vanessa at customer service was incredibly helpful and friendly during a stressful time. She truly made a difference! We’re very grateful for the kindness and hospitality. If we ever return to Carlsbad for leisure, we would 100% stay here again.

We are never disappointed when we book a room at La Quinta hotels. They are always clean and smell great. It is always an easy check in and check out process. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The rooms are always clean and well equipped with everything we need to make our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast is always good and they have a descent selection for most.

I was really impressed with this La Quinta! The staff was very friendly and the hotel is super clean. There were a few things not operating but that is to be expected. My room was very clean and everything was in good working order. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and great air conditioning.
