La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge Siegen Lane

We visited this hotel 2 days back on our way to New Orleans Louisiana. The hotel was very neat and the room was of a decent size with 2 beds. Check in was easy. They have complementary breakfast everyday. I really liked the way they cling wrapped every individual item (Apples, donuts, bread, glasses) in the kitchen. |I would recommend this hotel to everyone. There was a small fridge a microwave and a coffee machine in the room.

I visited October 2025. This hotel breakfast starts at 7am, there was barely any food put out. The waffles was horrible and what they had out, slim pickings. The breakfast area was filthy with spilled food on countertops like sugar, cereal, milk, leftover plates and napkins on the counter and tables. There was no breakfast attendants present and I told the front desk, They did not seem to concerned. The TV was not working, picture was very distorted. It was quiet during our stay. Nice size room with comfortable bed and with nice running water. Housekeeping on our floor was nice and provided towels daily during our stay. Positive: Nothing. Room had mold, stated didn't have another single to move too. Mold on ceiling of bathroom and curtain around the ac unit. Negative: From the moment I checked in, I felt judged.

I was not satisfied with my stay at this location. While the rate was reasonable and the bed itself was fairly comfortable, the overall cleanliness of the room was below par. The bathroom in particular was concerning, as I saw a roach crawling on the wall, which made me question the level of pest control and sanitation standards maintained here. For a hotel chain that usually provides a decent experience, this was disappointing. I expected a cleaner environment and better upkeep. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property until improvements are made in cleanliness and pest management.

Large round Trash can and vacuum cleaners parked at end of hallway on 1st floor, cleaning equipment shouldn't be sitting at the end of the hallway. Should be stored in a closet somewhere. Foul stench in hallway, at first I thought it was the trash bags that was sitting in the hallway when I arrived but then the trash bags were removed and the stench was still there. The first room I arrived in had not been cleaned and the bed was still in a shambles. I asked housekeeping had the room been cleaned and she said to go back to desk. I then went back to the front desk to request another room the second room that I was given the bed mattress was sunken in in the center of the bed, the bathroom toilet seat was broken, then the door on the cabinet that's hiding the fridge was also broken off, te
