La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio I-35 N at Toepperwein

This motel is in a shady high-crime area. This is not for families! Do not stay here unless you are comfortable surrounded by meth addicts, hookers and traffickers.

The price is right, and the rooms are decent. It isn't luxury, but definitely worth it if you are traveling through. A lot of Wyndham locations have cut out Breakfast all together, so it is nice that this location still has a complimentary breakfast. The management in the office has always been very nice and accommodating... Great service makes a huge difference.

The lobby of this place smelled strongly of off brand pinesol. Yes, I'm familiar with the smell. There are no luggage carts. The inside stairs and areas around the ONLY ice machine in the place were nasty. The steps everywhere in this place were steep. The elevator didn't work. The room was pretty clean and roomy. We had the family suite, which had 3 beds, a couch, and table. There was only ONE PARTIAL roll of toilet paper in this family suite, which required an extra early emergency trip to the front desk. There was no parking in front of our room so we had to park down the hill and haul all of our stuff uphill without the aid of a rolling cart. The upside was the room was affordable, but we'll not be staying here again. There were sketchy people walking around and hanging out in the park

Positive: "" Negative: Dirt on the floors, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and mystery stains on the walls. Didn't prepare the correct number of towels for our party size. People smoke on the balconies outside of our room.

Had a pleasant experience this past weekend staying at La Quinta. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and loved that there was no pet fee for my dog. Will definitely book again for my next trip!
