This hotel is not at all how it’s advertised. The images by the hotel are inaccurate and when I booked the hotel it was described nicer than what I experienced. I travelled to Virginia Beach this weekend and had a few hotel troubles and La Quinta just topped off the issues. It was 2am and I was honestly looking for just somewhere decent to stay. This place is not decent. At least not on my standards. I walked in and immediately was greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke. I checked in and was exhausted I just wanted a nice bed to sleep in. I get into my room where the door has to be slammed to be shut. The room reeked of smoke in a “nonsmoking hotel” and the floors were sticky. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen. They had also recently renovated the vanity and the cord
Positive: The hotel does not require a security deposit and they serve a Delicious breakfast! Negative: I did see a few cockaroachs.
My sheets were disgusting. They had stains on the top layer and when I asked for someone to come change the bedding they said they didn’t have staff so they gave me sheets. Well when I pulled off the top layer of sheets the mattress pad had even more stains and things on it. I came in a group and this happened to over half of our group. It seemed as if the room hadn’t been wiped down in a long time and there were barely any outlets for us to be lug our things into. In order to plug our things in we had to unplug things like lamps. The refrigerator had mold in it and when we first turned on the water it was brown. The staff was friendly but the room is what I came for. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and not only will I not recommend it to others, I will proa
I love staying at this hotel. All the staff are friendly, the rooms are very clean, and I felt very relaxed and never rushed. The head of personnel, Henry Jones is super helpful, intellectually bright, and very accommodating. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Everything awesome, they only charged $25 fee a night for my little 7lbs. Puppy dog Lala. Other hotels charged more and some don't accept animals. I know they do not clean anything in the room. I know this because I booked a night in a room and checked out. I had to get another room and they gave me the same room. When I showered the first night I saw hair in the shower that was still there the next night. I believe they only replenish the towels, soaps, take out the trash, and make the beds up. The floors not mopped at all. I wear socks or slippers to walk around in the room.
