La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Lufkin

My stay at the La Quinta Inn in Lufkin was overall a decent experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The room does show some age, and I noticed rust on some of the stainless steel furniture, likely due to humidity. While it wasn’t a major issue, keeping humidity under control — such as running AC units in empty rooms — would go a long way in preventing wear and tear. Considering the price, this was a good place to crash after a long day. The location was convenient and didn’t seem problematic at all. With a little extra TLC and attention to maintenance, this property could be even better.

My husband and I have stayed in many hotels overnight across USA and we absolutely would recommend Laquita in Lufkin, TX. Affordable, clean modern rooms, parking right outside your room, wide variety of choices for the continental breakfast, close to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here on our next trip in April and October!

No room service, blow dryer would not work, stained bath tub and curtain, floors were sticky and slick, tv remote would only work in certain positions over all would not stay here again. We were here for a wedding and booked two night and did not feel clean.

Positive: "" Negative: The room was not clean, there were bugs and a stain on the bed. The floor was super slippery and not swept. There was no breakfast as the app had stated and the front door desk staff wasn’t very helpful.

If I could give zero stars I would. When I made the reservation it took me 10 separate phone calls to finally get a hold of the front desk. I asked the lady if she had any wheelchair accessible rooms and a bathroom equipped with handrails. She said yes there was one room with 2 queen beds and it was ADA. My wife and I checked in at 9pm. My wife waited for over 15 minutes because the front desk had no one there. Finally someone came to check her in. She asked again if the room we reserved was ADA. The man said yes. When we went inside the room was not Ada. It had no bathroom rails. No way for me to get my chair into the toilet area. Also the queen beds were not queen beds they were full beds. The sheets on one of the beds had squashed flies on it. The bathtub according to my wife was filthy
