Best Western Plus Crown Colony Inn & Suites

I am a theatre teacher who had a large group of chaperones and students with me. We had a great experience at this hotel. In fact, my students are still talking about how much fun the hotel was. Everything was just perfect- comfortable, clean facilities, nice pool & workout room, and a delicious breakfast. Those are all of the things you expect when you go to a hotel, but the staff went above and beyond. They helped us with an early check in, gave us a rehearsal room, and made sure there were plenty of towels when my students descended upon the pool all at once. We appreciate you so much!

If you’re going to read a review before booking, let it be this one. Let me start by saying we specifically chose this hotel because of all the reviews talking about how clean it was. After driving eight hours, the only thing we wanted was a clean room. Instead, we walked into a room with coffee splattered on the walls, floors that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and more issues I won’t even list here. We immediately went to the front desk, and to their credit, they moved us to another room. Okay, great. Except the second room was just as bad. There was hair everywhere (not just a stray piece or two), rips in the sheets, and Zyn pouches under the bed. I have photo proof of all of this. So back to the front desk we went. I absolutely love staying here! I have been back and forth to Lufkin over the last month and a half and I have stayed at Hilton and Best Western. This Best Western has the most friendly staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. Every single person has a smile on their face every time I come across them. While the hotel is probably at least 20 years old, it is always clean and it always smells fresh. The TV in the room is upgraded and you can use streaming accounts and you don't have to watch that outdated standard hotel viewing that is full of commercials.The pool is sparkling and the parking lot seems safe. There are three restaurants that back up to the parking lot that are all good. The breakfast in the morning is better than most hotels, especially since it is served with a smiling fac

Positive: "" Negative: I didn't like the check in process when the employee decides to announce that the 3rd party's card on the other end was declined. It made no sense. My room was prepaid. My card was swiped for incidentals wi/ no problemHe then supposedly lowered an amt.

The rooms were in good shape. Not the most clean hotel I've ever stayed in but not dirty. The breakfast was really nice.
