La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Auburn Worcester

Positive: "" Negative: The rooms we got were not fully furnished and there was a musty smell. Fine, it's a discount hotel and we just needed beds for the night. But 8 a.m. Sunday morning there was construction above us. Relentless noise. We left 2 hours earlier than planned.

Obviously, the construction is distracting (but rarely disruptive - a bit of noise in the room). The renovated room was super-clean and quite attractive; bed was comfortable; staff was amazing! (Best continental breakfast in quite some time, partly due to the attentive, sweet staff.) Everyone was kind to our giant dog! Small possible improvements: room remained too warm for comfortable sleep with thermostat set to 61 degrees - can’t be accurate. Also, the fridge makes a steady musical tone much of the time. Would love to fix those! Thank you for a delightful, very cost-effective visit. Way better than the options in Sturbridge!

Hotel is under construction that started early in the morning. The free breakfast was microwave sandwich. The room had a terrible smell like exterminating had taken place. Recommend spending the extra money for a better hotel.

Sorry for the overall 3-Star rating. Service, Location and Rooms were fine. Be prepared for loud Interstate traffic if you are on the back side of the hotel. Also, there is a $150 deposit that you cannot pay in advance, so be prepared to fork out some more money. Building is a bit rundown but the facilities I interacted with inside didn't seem horrible. Outside facade is definitely reminiscent of downtrodden Motel 6. Staff was courteous and responsive. Location is okay, but definitely on the end of town.

WRONG! WORST MISTAKE EVER! They were still renovating the first floor, which was strange to me in the first place, but that's whatever. We took the elevator up to the third floor, to room 320 and at first everything was ok, so we thought. WRONG! TV didn't work, the internet didn't work, and we paid over $300 for literally nothing.
