La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites

Amazing stay!! So happy we ignored the poor reviews and stayed at La Jolla Cove Hotel. The hotel was so beautiful with the most unbelievable views. Room was clean and modern, and the beds were the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. We spent so much time just relaxing in our room with the views and sounds of the ocean. A delicious cafe right in the lobby for coffee and snacks, walking distance to the ocean, many restaurants and shops. And the staff were beyond accommodating- Sergio at the front desk was beyond kind and helpful with our stay. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend.

At the restaurant we requested for a better table when there were other tables available but the hostess Nikoo was very rude and declined after I kindly requested twice! I saw a person who came after us and did not have a reservation asking for a table and she provided them with the best ocean view table! Very strange! We ended up giving a tip to the guy who brought us water who was the best in the restaurant providing the best service !

Amazing location! We stayed in a pines corner suite and the view was amazing! The room was large and the bed comfy. Bathroom modern and clean! Had an issue with our fridge but they handled it immediately and with professionalism! ||If there’s an event on the roof, you can hear it in the room but they told us it would end at 10pm and it did promptly both nights of our stay. The noise and music didn’t bother us. Pretty great spot for a wedding so we’re happy folks could enjoy that. If you’re an early bird for sleep maybe not the room for you.

The pictures are very misleading. I thought I was reserving a remodeled room at La Jolla Cove Suites and I was booked at the Terrace. The room was dirty, the toilet rocked when you sat on it, and furniture was old and worn.  Also , there was a crazy amount of stairs to climb to get to our room. In addition, there was also a roof top wedding right across from our room. We were not told of the event and music played loudly until 10:30 pm. The view was great and it was right across the street from the beach, but I definitely won’t stay there again.

If you're a mermaid, this is your spot! The proximity to the sea lions, the open air design so you're not worried about dragging sand and salt onto hotel carpet, the hilltop pool and giant hot tub, the rooftop views, and the exemplary service are just some of the reasons to stay here. Very safe for solo travelers, and in low season, you almost always get upgraded to a nicer room. Love this place and the amazing staff!
