Customer Reviews
I don’t often write reviews, but I don’t recommend this stay for travelers to NYC. GOOD +Bed is comfy. +good location; close to 9 Ave Metro Station +heater NOTES No toiletries (aside from a thin bar of soap) Not a lot of convenience stores that stay open late nearby. BAD -thin walls. You can hear neighbors, outside noise, and really anything in the hallways. -if you love smoke and weed smell, come here. If not, don’t go. It’s a cheaper stay for a reason -covers…what are covers? These things were thin (not warm) in the bitter cold of December and January -booked on American Forces Travel. When I arrived, hotel staff asked me to pay for an additional room service fee -older, cheaper hotel. Some things are not clean and look BAD -I spent 4 days and 3 nights here; I noticed the TV remote d
Overall, I’d give this stay a 4-star rating, though there were some highs and lows. The room itself was decent and met my expectations for a 3-star experience. However, the service and the location didn't quite hit the mark, both feeling more like a 2-star experience. It’s a fine place to crash if you just need a bed, but don't expect many frills or a prime neighborhood feel.
The rooms are dark and old. The bed, in our room, was destroyed, and the old TV was malfunctioning. The toilet tank was noisy and and need exchanging . |On top of all that, they asked for USD 100 deposit, for what remains a mystery as they offered nothing.|The location was near Brooklyn China Town, but an easy access to the Subway but a long way from New York s interesting places.
Based on reviews I was a little hesitant going in. However our stay was pretty great honestly. We did not see any bugs the room was clean didn’t smell like smoke and housekeeping came in daily. It was super affordable for NYC and the parking was super convenient. Check in was super easy. TV was bigger than expected. Only suggestion if staying here is bring your own blanket because the one provided is pretty thin. Super close to the D train and lots of options for food. 10/10 would definitely stay again.
Positive: Friendly staff, good and affordable food in the area, room was clean, shower and bed were good. Negative: Walls very thin so could hear noise from rooms next door and hallway. Cigarette smoke kept wafting into room. Both made it difficult to sleep.
