Kings Lodge

I booked this room in order to attend an event at the last minute which I ended up being able to attend die to a cancelation on my end. Unfortunately, everything nearby was sold out. I knew this was a 1- or 2-s2-star motel at best, but I really only needed the room to sleep from 12-8. I decided to go for it. The exterior and the room were about what I expected for the price. If you just need a place to crash for 8 hours, this will work, but don't expect anything special. I was surprised to find a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, which was really nice. There was soap and small towels, but no shampoo or coffee pot. There was, however, plenty of space. I didn't pay much, I didn't expect much and I didn't get much. Seems like a fair transaction actually.

Well my overall experience was pleasant but could have been great had they honored my request for a room with a balcony. After requesting one I was informed that even though there was one available I would not be able to purchase the room because I unfortunately didn't reside far enough away. Apparently I live 60 miles to close. If I had lived 61 miles away then I could have purchased a room with a balcony so that my friend and I could have had an awesome view of Chattanooga instead of the street view of a dense tree line and a busy,busy road.

I can confirm the previous reviewer's experience; that the sheets didn't fit the beds, the shower was moldy and everything looked pretty cheap and tacky. They really need to spring for some new towels, too, as theirs are threadbare and stained. Satellite tv went out at one point, so we had to ask the tv to reset itself and there was no internet access. Not a great neighborhood either! I do NOT recommend staying here alone. It was an extremely busy hotel (on a week night) and the parking lot was hopping with young men and old truck drivers. We were able to find a parking spot right outside our door, but we felt compelled to get up and check that no one had stolen our wheels throughout the night. We heard gunshots at one point. Worst place I've ever stayed. Bring your own bed sheets. The ones they use are too small and don't cover the mattress. The furniture resembles some cheap stuff from a thrift store. The floor is disgusting. Wear shoes. I don't think they vacuum. There was food inside the air conditioner. The Shower is moldy. It looks like it was painted by a drunk guy who spent about 10 minutes doing the entire room. I felt dirty and uncomfortable the entire time I was there. After tax, it cost me $45. It was probably worth about $15

This was the worst experience I've ever has at a a motel ! The staff was extremely rude and the manager was so unprofessional when she called back n said she would give us our money back cuz we were there a few hours making sure there wasn't any more pierces of drug paraphernalia left behind for a child to find! We actually booked the king size suite and they gave that room away before we got there and if the pile of dog poo wasn't enough the manager told is that she knew we wouldn't like the room cuz it wasn't the one we picked n refused to give is a different room or out money back!!
