Customer Reviews
We had the room deep cleaned prior to arrival, settled any concerns over allergies. The happy hour in the living room was a great touch! Got to socialize and play some games. Absolutely enjoyed the room. Very sleek and modern finishes. Will definitely visit another Kimpton property, in the future. Thank you Shea!
Positive: comfortable bed, great food Negative: check in person could not locate an open room for me- other check in person had to help to get my reserved room located on computer system
I would not recommend this property. As a Platinum IHG member, I’ve never had issues adjusting dates due to unforeseen circumstances, but this hotel enforced an extremely strict cancellation policy.|My check-in date was 1/17/2026, requiring cancellation by 12:00 a.m. on 1/14/26. When I called at 10:00 a.m. on 1/14/26, my request was denied—even after explaining that I had COVID and could provide a doctor’s note.|While they agreed to move my stay to a later date, they quoted an additional $660, despite the same nights being available for $527 when booking directly. We have stayed here before, but after this experience, I would not book this property again.
Checkin at the front desk was adequate. I checked in under the AMEX FHR rate and have IHG Platinum Elite status. My status was recognized but the young lady who checked me in did not explain my FHR benefits at all. I had to return to the front desk to get the standard sheet of FHR benefits after I went up to my room. Room was very shabby and slightly run down. Paint chipping on closet door, rust on shower faucet handle, trash can and recycling bin were tattered and looked gross. Chair was threadbare and the lamp next to the bed would flicker when turning on or off. TV had a dead pixel visible in it and the entire room would dim when the HVAC unit would kick on. Strangely, there was also no lotion at all in the room. Other bath products were fine but no lotion in the dry Chicago air was unb
Amazing stay at this hotel. Beautiful building and decor. Free welcome amenities and waters. Walking distance to many attractions. If you have a short stay and don’t want to venture out, Boleo and the Italian restaurant will not disappoint. If you do have time so many places to see and visit in the area. The staff will do anything to accommodate you and your pet. The Breakfast is really good. For parking we used SpotHero and parked on Wells street a few blocks away for $63 for the weekend (no in and out privileges).
