Kiawah Island Golf Resort

We stayed in a house rented through ESPM, which I highly recommend. Much much better than resort villas. I have not stayed at the Sanctuary itself, but have eaten at the Jasmine room there. The grounds are sublime. A nature lovers dream. Great restaurants, bike trails, playground, tennis/pickleball, golf, beach. My happy place.

By far the best golf course I have ever been to all thanks to the staff and amazing hospitality. I was especially thankful for Nick Blackburn and Cole Peterson at the turtle point golf course they were above and beyond helpful and knowledgeable about the course and everything it had to offer and the rich history behind it. We will defiantly be coming back just because of them and all of the great amenities.

We spent 3 nights here and had a great stay at Sanctuary. The service was exceptional, from check in, to the bellhop/valet, room service.......everyone was top notch and helpful. The property is gorgeous, and although we were not able to take advantage of the outdoor pools due to weather, we still took advantage of the indoor pool and gym. The location is very unique, i highly recommend taking the shuttle to the ocean course and having a meal/drink there to experience the history.

We stayed at the Sanctuary Hotel in Kiawah for a golf trip this past week. I'll do two reviews (the hotel and the golf). ||First, the hotel - it's top notch. The attentive service, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the entire property was off the charts and you can understand why it gets 5 stars. All of that greatness comes at a cost, it isn't the most wallet friendly hotel. It's pricey. We booked through our Chase Sapphire card where we get some perks like free breakfast every day. The benefit we were told equates to $42/day per person. The buffet just so happened to be $42 per person. I can't express how much I wanted to pack my bags and leave as soon as we got here. We were here on business, so I couldn't leave. The outside walkway coming up the stairs to the villa, looked like no one had swept it out in a decade. Debri, spider webs, and whatnot littered the entire stairwell. I felt like I was in a Friday, the 13th movie at one of those old cabins. The condo was ok. Pretty much updated but smelled like mothballs. Overall, the villa was clean and located right at the beach. HERE COMES THE KICKER and the reason for a 1 star rating. The whole entirety of our luxurious, 5 star resort stay, we had to listen to beating, banging, machinery whirring and something that sounded close to a jackhammer all day (when we weren't out of the room).
