Kellogg Conference Hotel Capitol Hill at Gallaudet

Staff is very friendly and professional. 60 dollar parking was pretty bogus and no mircrowave in the room was also pretty lame. Blinds do not work so if you’re looking for some sunshine good luck haha. Bed super comfy tho! Definitely go for a cheaper (or just different) hotel cause they typically have free parking and probably a microwave.

Positive: Super clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, parking was very close to the hotel, the campus was beautiful, amazing location? right across the street from Union Market and a few blocks away to the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Ave Red Line train entrance. Negative: I?m only using this space to extend my good review. I didn?t realize this was a well known university for deaf and hard of hearing students. Had I done my research I would have taken more care to learn essential ASL phrases to communicate staff who sign.

Five stars all the way down because it is a gem and value. The service is is 5 star service. The staff is kind and, above all, accommodating. Check in was a breeze. The rooms are clean and the hotel design is welcoming. One cool detail: each bed seems to have several pillows with varying levels of firmness so you'll find your perfect pillow fit. The location is perfect for visiting parents of Gallaudet students and it is a short walk to Union Market, a place many different types of cuisine. All around...the best best best you're going to get for this price!

Great location on campus, but be extremely careful with the luggage storage room. I checked my bags here after checkout, and items were stolen from inside my zipped luggage while it was in their 'secure' hold. I had a tracker on my items and could see they were removed from the hotel while my bag was supposed to be locked up. Management was dismissive and refused to help despite the tracking proof. I will stay here again for the location, but I will NEVER trust their staff with my bags again. Use TSA locks if you stay here.
