Jensen’s On The Gulf

We have stayed here before and we are returning customers. I will start there. We prepaid for a vacation this August for a couple days. I became ill and had to go home early. We notified them more than 72 hours prior. I understand cancellation policies and how this situation would not warrant one, but a partial refund of good faith would be nice instead of a straight “NO”. If Captiva wants to get people back to their vacation destination, then this is not a good picture that is painted. If the owners would like to make a good faith gesture, then please let me know, but this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered. Return customers have no merit it seems, sad. Review update a couple of months later: No word from owners or any attempt to even make us a little whole. D

Stayed Labor day weekend 2023. The view was second to none and the bed was great! When renting a "luxury penthouse' I didn't expect it to be dirty and dated.... The tub was filthy (a little ajax and a scrub brush would have went a LONG way, dollar store has that stuff), the interior of the freezer was gross with crumbs, and the bathroom sink didn't even have a stopper (dollar store has them) and had a ring around it, and the patio wasn't swept and the glass doors were filthy obstructing the view from inside, needed glass cleaner (I have pictures of everything). Also the remote for the bedroom TV was missing. We were a bit dissapointed spending over $600/night for a "penthouse" and then having it be dated and dirty was honestly a bummer. Beautiful room with amazing views and sunsets. We had a great stay here. The team handling this property at Breakaway vacation properties was superb! will definitely be back!

Enjoyed an anniversary here in 2019. Beautiful location and pleasant staff.
