Can’t beat this location in downtown Captiva with restaurants, little store, ice cream shop and the beach so close. It was a push the easy button vacation for sure! We stayed at the Captiva Inn for four nights. First two were in Gardenia and then we switched to Lantana because that is what was available for the dates we wanted. Staff allowed us to check in early and out late without any issues. Our stay was after Hurricane Ian, Helene and Milton so everything was re-done. The only reason I gave four stars for the rooms is this place has a cottage feel - very comfortable but not luxury if that’s what you’re looking for. Very cute and had a well outfitted kitchen for cooking at home. The pool out back was very clean and had a new grill next to it to use. Beds were very comfortable and the li

We loved the location, choice between 2 restaurants for breakfast. The bed and pillows were comfortable. What would have made our stay better, a working ice machine, a pull cord on the overhead fan as the room was rather stuffy as we used the floor fan in addition. The bathroom grout desperately needs to be redone, black looking mold was a turn off. You can't beat the location though.

Location and charm are the main points at this spot. It is “island” to the core, by which I mean: laid-back and unpretentiousness. Furnishings are old, eclectic and well-worn, and buildings could use a little cosmetic updating but were clean. After being terribly overcharged for two nights at an expensive but disappointing resort in Sanibel, this place felt homey and “beachy” and a good value for the money. ||We rented the Iris and found it comfortable and full of character. The easy walk to eating establishments, gift shop, and beach is a plus, but it also means this is smack in the middle of the main action in this little village. It is definitely not a private getaway but a place to go when you like to be in the center of beach life. ||Note that if you are planning to use a sofa bed you

My wife and I found the Lantana unit after our daughter and son in law stayed in the Love Shack last year. It has the perfect location overlooking Andy Rosse Lane and the wonderfully relaxed street scene that it offers. Everything in Lantana was clean and decorated with bright sunny colors. Sitting on the balcony in the evening enjoying the live music from the Key Lime bistro next door was one of the highlights of our evenings. With the central location, we never moved our rental car once during our stay. We walked to the beach, Mcarthy's Marina, the Island Store and 4 different restaurants..... and there were several others we just didn't get around to! Jayson in the office was very helpful in booking our longer stay for next February as well! |I will tell you to come stay at Lantana (or

Great place for a beach getaway. We stayed at #12 (Loveshack). It is small but was perfect for us. It has a good size refrigerator inside and a nice patio-next time we'll bring our portable grill! It is also situated at the very back of the drive so we didn't smell the restaurants and barely heard the music. The bed was comfy, the AC great. The Inn provides umbrellas and beach chairs free! And the included breakfasts were fantastic! Truly a full breakfast. Don't bother going to Starbucks up the road as the coffee at R.C. Otter's was actually better to my surprise. Staff was very nice as well at the Inn and at the restaurants. Will definitely go again. The beach is so nice and very close.
