I’ve never stayed here, but I remember this “hotel” from years ago when it was an old motel. It was known among local high school students as a place where it was easy to get a room due to a lack of proper verification and adult oversight. Recently, I read an article about a young woman who stayed here and was tragically stabbed to death by a random person. Given the location and its long-standing reputation, it’s unfortunately not shocking to hear something like this occurred. A remodel alone cannot erase the history or the safety concerns tied to this property. At this point, it may be time to shut this place down rather than attempt to rebrand it.
DO NOT BOOK- unsafe area & lots of homeless people using drugs on the stairs outside our room.|Location was good-bus stop around the corner and uber back $11-$15.|Room was ok, we like to have a bath but plug wasn’t working, massive TV, bed was large but it was quite itchy. The main road is very noisy and the railway line is across the road. We stayed for 3 nights no cleaner came in, had to ask for fresh towels, no bath mats.|Bed linen was limited, pillows were like blocks of wood. Lots of parking available
Positive: The room and bathroom were very cleaned. No signs of bed bugs or critters. My only compliant that is did have the aroma of cigarettes.I ended up using my aerosol spray to freshen up the room to make it satisfactory. Negative: My only problem/run in was the lingering homeless person. The individual ended up walking up.to me as I was headed to the office to check out. I almost had to defend myself. I told the clerk that this kind of harassment is bad for business!
BEWARE…make sure you read the reviews before booking, MY OTHER REVIEW GOT REMOVED, Hotel room was ok, it’s been updated. Fridge was very noisy…not clean. Bed was very itchy, had black out blinds and a very noisy main road, lot of parking available on site. We booked this hotel because of the location, bus stop around the corner but we didn’t feel safe walking down, lots & lots of homeless, working girls & drug users. Bus ride 20mins to Washington town centre. As we were leaving the hotel with our suitcases, on the hotel stairs there was 2 people sitting using drugs.. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
By far the worst, they told me that I have to pay a deposit fee for my room when I got here. My job paid for the room, I had to get them to send the deposit. A dude done busted another guests window out of their car. The room is nasty, loose hair in the bathroom, everywhere in the bed and all. I won’t be staying here ever again.
