Iron Road Inn

What a wonderful hotel. We brought our dog and it was no issue! $25 a night is very cheap for a pet fee so that was also nice. The people working at the hotel were extremely nice and made you feel like you were renting a room in their personal house. The train theme was cool to me and I thought it was subtle enough to avoid being tacky. The beds were comfortable, the tvs were fine, the shower pressure was out of this world but I would say the bathrooms are next up for renovation! We seen the cleaning lady moving all the furniture and really cleaning the other rooms while passing by so that was promising. 10/10 would recommend / stay again. The parking was easy, the check out was casual, breakfast was suitable, and it felt very safe. 75 bucks a night.. can't beat it!

if the owners would spend some money on it, but they haven't, so it's not. It hasn't been updated in years. The furniture is from the 1960's as are the bedspreads and matching curtains, which don't totally close to block out light. The carpet appeared to be old, too. The bed is like sleeping on concrete. The sinks (two, which are nice to have) aren't even waist high. The hallway has a perfume smell as if it's covering up an odor. The room had a slight odor, but it wasn't noticeable after we had been in there 5-10 minutes. We didn't even try breakfast based on other reviews and the description provided by the desk clerk. The good is that both the night and morning clerks were nice and helpful. It was as clean considering the older furnishings. It had a microwave and refrigerator

Very quiet, clean, quaint and inexpensive! The soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are citrus scented, they smell so wonderful. Sometimes its the little things that matter most! Independently owned and the owners are very kind. The housekeeper was pleasant also. Beautiful artwork and a gathering area, with board games to play. Outside grill and sitting area. Steak house on the same parking lot. Plenty of parking. Will definitely stay here anytime we visit the area!

Was not impressed with the room. Very run down. Smelled like stale smoke even though says no smoking. Supposed to had king room. Bed was definitely queen. Sheets had a stain on them and blanket had holes. Microwave and refrigerator dirty and furniture dusty. Bathroom had been updated and seemed clean. Staff is very friendly and tried to be helpful with area attractions and food choices.

Pet friendly, $25 fee = reasonable & average. People friendly too 😺. I've stayed multiple times over recent years. All staff helpful & friendly from Manager, Front desk, Cleaning, and Outside maintenance. TV selection seems to lack movie stations, But WiFi is fast & I have my usual providers on my laptop. Employees here keep me coming back. I put Great View because I like Rm#119 which faces grassy hill & woods out back. Can open window for fresh air & has been quiet on my visits.
