Smokey Bottom Campground

Best little campground around Scott and his dad are the greatest. Reasonably priced very well maintained and clean. This was our 2nd time here Scott welcomed us back like ole friends. But this year totally changed my mind about Scott being great he’s awesome. On the day we were leaving.our Yorkie broke loose and ran away. Scott and his two dogs rode around looking for him to no avail. Scott posted it on his page. We posted it on Randolph pets lost and found . Later tried to give Scott money for another day he said no not ur fault as the day went on no Vinny as evening came Scott and his dad said don’t worry we will get him back n hold him. Next morning God sent Vinny to an Angels house Emma Pennington . N she posted a video he was there at 04:00. I texted Scott to see if I could rent a c

If I could give a 0 rating I would as to when I called to see if we were able to come to his campground that says Open 365 days a year 24hours. His response was no you can not come it’s thanksgiving then followed up with I’d have to find you a spot that had insulation if your the owner you have no idea where you insulated spots are… okay. we also have a fresh water tank on our camper where we could of just filled up here at home and wouldn’t of needed a insulated spot. But we will gladly take our business elsewhere. Very rude and nasty yes we called on a holiday but it went to voicemail and we left it at that didn’t even leave a message mind you and he didn’t have to call back and be as rude as he was!

We stayed at campground for 3 months while we looked to by a home in WV. Campground is nice and priced well. Scott the owner is very friendly and always available if needed! Definitely recommend staying here.

was clean, well maintained and quiet. I didn’t utilize all amenities and not sure what all they provide, however I was more interested in a good night rest. Not far from a road but I didn’t have any issues with noise.

The owner Scott is awesome. Nice quiet park close to amenities. Great camping spot for as long as you want. I will be back and highly recommended.
