My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the InterContinental Chicago this weekend. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—especially from Than at the front desk. He was incredibly personable and friendly, asked about the reason for our visit, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Once he learned we were celebrating our anniversary, he added thoughtful touches that made our stay feel truly special. His kindness set the tone for our whole weekend. Our room was beautiful—spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. It felt like such a relaxing retreat after being out exploring the city all day. The location of the hotel was also perfect. We were able to walk to almost everything on our itinerary, from restaurants to shops to sightseeing along the lakefront. It made the trip s

We were visiting Chicago and chose to stay at the Intercontinental. It is a greatly location right on Michigan Ave. It is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Parking is pricey if you park with the hotel but it is convenient. We found our own spot to park and it was not a far walk at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and we had a nice view with a large room. There was a nice bathtub and a walk in shower. We have used the large pool before but didn't make it this time.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essential amenities. The staff was professional, courteous, and always willing to assist with any request. The location was convenient, making it easy to access key areas in the city. Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free experience. I would recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers.

Location was perfect, the atmosphere was great! Although the lines did get a bit chaotic for the elevators. The room was clean and was kept pretty clean throughout. Our only issue was the shower was broken, there’s a piece that would shoot out once turned off or switched from shower to bath. It hit my toddle on the head and hit my feet another time. And that hurt. We let the front desk know twice. First night we also waited over an hour for something and had to call again super late. Even then it wasnt correct. The pool was a good idea but no space to sit as it was so so so crowded. A lot of chairs seemed to be missing so we had to sit on a wet carpet. The smell was also intolerable in there. Wish we couldn’t enjoyed that since that was what sold us on this hotel.

We are on night two of our two night stay. The location of this hotel is truly prime—within easy walking distance to an abundance of food, entertainment, and nearby attractions, which is a major plus! The check-in staff, especially Than, was wonderful. While we were due a complimentary room upgrade, unfortunately none were open at the time. As a kind gesture, he instead provided us with two complimentary drink tickets, which was an unexpected and appreciated surprise. When we went to redeem them at the bar in MJ Steakhouse, we learned after placing our cocktail orders that the tickets could not be used for the drinks we had chosen. This would have been helpful to know beforehand, but we still appreciated the initial gesture. Breakfast was convenient, though nothing particularly memorable
