Inn On Camac

This place is very clean and comfortable. It's on top of U bar/ restaurant and only has about 10 rooms or less. Check in is done online and then you get the room key from the bartender. I like that you can have drinks and dinner and go right upstairs to go to bed.

Incredibly disappointing stay. Our room was so musty with so much water damage. A section of wall was actively deteriorating. Inn was completely unresponsive to my messages about it. Location is great, albeit very loud; especially when the bar closed and people spilled out into the street to go home. Bar staff was friendly during check in but so busy with orders they gave us the wrong room number and no other info. Didn't feel like an inn or hotel stay so much as being dumped in a dilapidated room and ghosted.

Great location , clean room but communication with someone is almost non existent . I e-mailed twice a few days before my arrival asking if an early check in was possible and never heard back. Upon arriving me and a friend (he had a separate room) we went to the bar at 2pm to grab a drink and keys if the room was ready. The bartender checked the folder and both of our files were not in the folder and the manager couldn't be reached. The bartender was clearly frustrated as if this happens quite often. We didn't get checked in until after 4pm!!! I also heard another customer complaining about trying to cancel but his phone calls and emails were never answered. They really need to fix this iuuse.

I’ve stayed at this no-frills inn dozens of times. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to lay your head convenient to the bars and restaurants in the area this is good for you. ||However — as with this time — you cannot get ahold of a human if you have any pre-check-in issues, modify your reservation, or in my case needed to cancel due to a family emergency. I tried calling (went to voicemail 2x), emailed multiple times, and there is zero way on the website to accomplish this. ||You’re pretty much on your own if you book here, so hope you don’t need a human before or during your stay.

Rooms are pretty nice, with updated bedding, and an updated bathroom. Don't come here for a peaceful night, as the rooms are right above the bar, which gets pretty loud at night! Once the bar closes the beds are very comfortable, but thin walls/windows makes it sound like the windows are wide open with all the sounds from the street coming right in, so if you're a light sleeper, definitely look elsewhere. Plenty of restaurants, and bars within walking distance.
