Inn at Highway 1

I stayed at this hotel against my better judgement for a recent trip and although I was surprised by the cleanliness of the room despite the outer appearance of the hotel, there's a lot left to be desired. Despite being told via text by staff I could check in early for a $50 fee, I arrived to the hotel and had to wait outside for over an hour for staff had "left for lunch", or so the poorly written note taped to the door said... Breakfast is good. House keeping will swing upon the door without knocking despite a do not disturb sign on the door and staff is non existent and oddly combative when they are. If you need fresh towels, be prepared to not be given them for over an hour after asking and don't expect the front desk to answer the phone unless you get lucky. All together. It's not

The hotel is clean and the room deluxe king is cute. Stairs are steep, not suitable for elderly.| Bathroom: The walk in shower is a nice with a raining shower head straight above. We did only receive 2 towels; pretty darn thin. Not a big deal though just asked for extras. Dual sinks which is great for couples!! A smart mirror that has a dim light and a warmer to keep the mirror from foggy up during a shower. The TOLIET PAPER, COTTONELLE! I love this because I really can’t stand that thin see through TP some place provide. | Room: king size bed was comfy and the pillow were fluffed and full. Gap under the door in and out of the room was rather large allowing a lot of hallway light in, but a quick fix with a towel made the room much darker. The mini fridge works amazingly. The fre

Very surprised with how great this motel is. Pride of ownership and reinvestment of profits back into the business shows in big ways and small details. The owner is accommodating and has built a comfortable place to stop for the night. I travel for work, have stayed in the best, the worst, and everything in between, and this is one of the best. A rare gem in a difficult industry to stay competitive in, especially at this price point. Don't hesitate to stay here but remember this is a local business, not a soulless slice of genarica offering painted-on smiles from workers who would rather be anywhere else but work. There is a real person caring for this business and it shows. I will happily give them my money and my respect. This place deserves both.

I loved this cute, modern hotel! The location was perfect and the check-in process was super easy. The staff provided excellent customer service and made me feel very welcome. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and although I didn’t have breakfast, it smelled amazing. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Positive: The gentleman at the front desk. Very helpful . Very accommodating. Negative: The remote to tv too complicated.
