Inn and Spa at Loretto

We stayed one night at the Inn of Loretto & it was magical!!! Beautifully decorated for Christmas with a 24 hr fire in the living room & the kindest, most wonderful staff!! We spent a lovely afternoon in the living room having appetizers & drinks before going off to a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Our barkeeper, Eileen, was lovely! She told us about the hotel & was friendly & helpful. That morning I sat by the fire & was given coffee & restaurant tips by the incredible Tracy!! He was the valet that morning & was a wealth of information and one of the kindest people I have met in Santa Fe! Really everyone in the hotel was friendly, the hotel was clean & the location perfect to attend our concert in the St Francis Basilica.

If you are with Chase Reserve choosing an Edit property, avoid this one! Despite the comfortable bed, beautiful historic building, and nice restaurant, our stay was pretty bad. We stayed for a January weekend when very few people were checked in and did not get the typical room upgrade or early check in/late check out. Attached is a picture of your terrace room view (mostly roof top and other guest’s balconies). But no biggy, wouldn’t normally give those things a second thought. What was a big deal was that our toilet didn’t work upon arrival, and instead of moving us or fixing it we had to use the lobby bathroom. The second strike was between 10pm-1:00am there were loud banging noises and yelling, as well as someone ON OUR TERRACE shining a flashlight in our room. I was frightened and too

Booked our stay as part of the “The Edit” collection through the Chase travel portal. Had heard some chatter that many hotels in this program have been trying to withhold some of the promised perks but that was not the case here. Room was upgraded at check in, all of the benefits were clearly explained to us and all credits were properly applied at check out. The hotel itself was excellent. The location was perfect. The room, valet, pool/hot tub, spa, and restaurants were all great. We’ll definitely be using our credit card perks here again.

Positive: The pool and area was Amazing. So clean and beautiful. Staff everywhere maintaining it. The staff in all of the hotel were wonderful. It's a beautiful hotel. The restaurant is fabulous,also. Negative: Our room only had one chair in it. One of us had to sit on the bed when we were in the room

The only positive thing I have to say is there’s free coffee. Otherwise, this was a really strange lodging experience. For how expensive it is, you would expect just a minuscule of luxury. It is listed as “high-end,” but that was absent here. The stay in this hotel was only comparable to living in some sort of cave or hut. The staff was kind, though the tall male host was very odd. The valet also was never at their post and made getting the car a long and unpleasant process. The place doesn’t smell very pleasant, just kind of musty. The lack of any mirror in the room was inconvenient. The IRON had black gunk on it that absolutely RUINED a perfect pair of white pants meant to wear to a wedding… And lastly, they put this cute little stuffed bear on the bed in your room, and don’t tell yo
