Imperial Motor Inn

This place is horrible. We stayed here a few years back, but now it's the pits. I went into the lobby to see if I could check in early (by about 15 minutes). A working stormed in, slammed the door, went behind the counter to grab something and stormed out and slammed the door again. I attempted to ask a question to the worker, but was totally ignored as if I wasn't even in the same room. They also seem to only clean (very poorly) rooms when people arrive in the evening. DON"T GO HERE!!!! Go across the street and stay at the Atherton Hotel. It's not much more money, but loads better! I will never stay here again. Also, the sheets had holes, the TV remote had tape around it to keep it from falling apart and the bathroom was gross!

The cost per night is really low, especially considering you're within walking distance of everything worth doing. However, my nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, the shower drain was clogged, they didn't even remove the used towels from the previous occupant, and I doubt they changed the sheets.

The room we were assigned had dead bed bug skins all over the place. Luckily, we didn't even touch the bed before we found them and our stuff was kept off the floor. When we told the manager, she immediately called the owners and the snuck around us to get to the room and try and hide the evidence. They fought us on getting a refund for the room and although they originally said they would, denied us and claimed they only said that to get us to leave. The worst possible experience we could have had.

You know, a lot of people are complaining about this place, but you have to look at it like this: the location is a steal. Personally when I come back for football games, b/w weekend, and any other events, this is my first choice. You're only in the room for a minimal amount of hours. For a person coming to tailgate and hang out, this is key location to all the bars and memorabilia you could ask for. It's not the place for a family to be staying, but more so for those just looking for a place to crash.

The rooms were super cheap, and what you pay is what you get. The area looked really sketchy, and the rooms looked very run down and old. The bathroom door didn't close all the way. Overall, not great, but at least it was cheap.
