Iditarod House Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at Iditerod House B&B several days during the week of our wedding. We wanted an authentic, AK experience. It was clean, bright and cheery,has a beautiful view from the breakfast table) and a great value for the money. The hostess, the 1981 (?) Iditerod Rookie of the Year, was amazingly helpful. She has lived in AK long before it was fashionable and recommended places to visit (Musk Ox Farm, Hatcher Pass & Independence Mine, the State Fair, Eklutna Village) There is allot to do in the area. It is a great location to use as a base for visits to Talkeetna or Anchorage. Since we were eloping to AK, but had no definite plans on church, etc., she recommended her historic church, The Church of A Thousand Logs in Palmer (now Presbyterian).
