Hyland Hotel

After living in Palmer for 20 years and seeing this building for sale several times (and wishing I could buy it!) I was excited to see what it looked like inside. After moving out of Palmer, having activities there this weekend gave us the perfect opportunity to check it out. It was beautiful inside. Clean and modern while still keeping the historical charm of the building. It may not be in the best location if you’re looking for nature and quiet but if you want to be able to walk to the great downtown of Palmer, close to shops and restaurants, it’s perfect! We will be back for sure!

We stayed one night in Palmer at the Hyland Hotel. It has no one on site so check in is essential that you receive instructions in advance. Unfortunately 24 hours before check in I had not received anything so I had to make numerous attempts to contact the hotel and clarify check in. That sorted we were able to access suite 103 just fine|Pros well equipped, comfy bed|Cons weak WiFi, television would link to Netflix/ Amazon etc, no toaster and no tissues||Oh and please add a few table lamps to break the slightly sterile feel of the overhead lighting particularly in the bedroom where there are no bedside lamps||Oh and the front door is very temperamental when closing and will only lock 1/5||Could be so good but needs improvement

5 star on location inside the heart of Palmer. There is basically no service here. It’s not really a hotel in a traditional sense. The facade seems clean but certain aspects were most definitely not. The table was extremely dusty when we walked in. I had to wipe the counters down. The bed had hair. The pillow smelled extremely bad I had to cover it up with a bath towel before I could fall asleep due to the stench. It is also far from quiet with cars driving by all night. We needed ear plugs to mute the noise. From the pictures everything looked inviting. But upon after my stay here I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be coming back.

We had a wonderful stay! It was easy to check In contactless and everything worked as promised. The room was clean and very cute. It was so nice to have complimentary laundry facilities. The place was decorated very nicely! I would strongly recommend staying here.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Outstanding rooms, great price, COFFEE, great wifi, super comfy bed and pillows! Right in the mountains with gorgeous sunrises. A++++++++
