Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill

The atmosphere of this hotel seems intended for people travelling for business, as opposed to families. It was a lovely hotel, and better than I expected. The lobby was very nice. It was decorated for the holidays, and it felt fairly upscale. I was greeted right away by the staff, who gave me a complimentary bottle of water and were courteous and ready to help. I arrived by train in the morning and was surprised that my room was already available. The elevator operates with your room key, so it felt safe. I enjoyed my room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable to me, and everything was perfectly clean. I liked that there was an area rug around the bed, which helps reduce noise. We stayed in the remodeled Capitol Suite and it was a showstopper with a dual entry bathroom and sanctuary bedroom with no windows which made for amazing sleep. The bathroom was beautiful and a great layout with a soaker tub. Space was huge and felt really nice with the corner window. This is the only room in the hotel with an actual view of the Capitol, but it's partially obscured by the building next door. Pool is a nice touch and great to have heated and indoors with an amazing gym space. The front desk staff were kind and quick to address a small issue we had. Did not dine or drink here. I asked that a manager reach out to me because the suite we booked was over $1,000 and even though we were celebrating a birthday, which was noted on the reservation and to the front desk, but no ameni

Everything was wonderful! Located two blocks away from the national mall, we walked to the Capitol Hill, the botanical garden, various museums as far as the natural history museum. The facility is newly renovated and so stunning. All the staff we encountered were delightful. Our room had a minor issue and Samantha from the front desk helped us resolve it quickly. Kids enjoyed hours of play in the beautiful pool area, including a great shower facility. The gym is arguably the best hotel gym I’ve been to with tons of cardio machines, weight machines, free weights etc. the breakfast was great - it’s buffet style with rotating selection of savory and sweet, hot and cold - very wide spread that satisfies the diverse food preference of our group. Positive: Location: walking distance from union station Negative: I found hair on the bed and under the body wash. One part of the shower was missing and I couldn't switch the water. I called the front desk, but it was cut off twice. I went directly to the front desk and finally got a repair guy.

Best Hyatt Experience Ever My girl and I decided to check out the place after its renovation. Safe to say they did a spectacular job on everything. Mohammed is a front desk manager and he is the definition of hospitality. Warm greeting and very knowledgeable. Feidi is a front desk agent and she was very sweet and respectful. Our server Maya was awesome at dinner time Sunday 02/15 evening. She was busy but was able to manage all her tables including us with outstanding service. Monday night 02/16 we went to the regency club. Christian was very attentive in the club even tho we did not dine in. I think that’s important and he did an amazing job.
