Hyatt Place Nashville Airport

Never again! I bamboozled myself. I wish I did more research before booking this hotel. The property itself (outside) needs a lot of work. It’s the middle of the their winter, but they don’t seem to care enough to even pick up trash on the property. The inside, could be way better too. I stayed at a Hyatt in Baton Rouge & that one was in better condition (while under construction!) than this hotel. Our room itself: I found a water bottle behind the bed, an empty coffee creamer container under the couch, my nightstand was barely holding on & what looked like either dried throw up, or food residue under another section of couch. I’m beyond disappointed in myself that I didn’t do the research. They had good reviews on their website, thru TripAdvisor, but they probably paid for the reviews. No

Don't trust the website. Hotel has no services and the lobby is depressing. Management is lacking--old elevator still had advertisements for food at the bar. Neither of which exist anymore. Asked for a quiet room, and while on 6th floor, I got put right across from the elevators. The room was a level above a standard room and it was spacious, clean and quiet with an old coffee maker, microwave, and mini-frig. But the climate control was rickety and limited controls, shower area dim, and inside of room door was beat up. Shuttle worked okay but has a stop after the hotel, if someone has it scheduled at that hotel, so it might take some extra time. There are undoubtably nicer options in immediate area but now I know why the Hyatt's price was at low end of scale for area.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and my birthday. Convenient hotel being close to the airport. Rooms were ok, they could use some renovations and updating. Tv remote barely worked, did’t get hot water while showering but sinks had hot water. Free breakfast was great, and the staff was friendly. For the price it wasn’t too bad, we usually stay at Hyatt place when we travel.

Positive: Good variety at breakfast, cozy beds and furniture, friendly/helpful staff, convenient location Negative: The desk in my room was very wobbly and ready to collapse. I informed the front desk. There was also no soap in the bathroom in my room or in the public bathroom downstairs.

Obviously, this is not a five-star hotel, but in its class, it's excellent value for money. The small staff is friendly; the rooms and the breakfast area are very clean; and everything works. The free breakfast buffet is fine (with particularly good fresh fruit salad). The location is surprisingly convenient to many things in addition to the airport. I have stayed here before and will stay here again.
