Hyatt Place Houston-Northwest / Cy-Fair

Super clean! I honestly think this is the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. It’s also located next to really good bbq. Also, the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.

Our AC broke and being in Texas, the humidity hits really quickly. The room got really hot and the room started to smell really stale and funky. We asked if we could get a new room, but they were completely booked that weekend so there was no available room. Additionally, the maintenance went home and this was around maybe 8pm? How are they going to have a booked out hotel, but not have a maintenance on staff if something were to go wrong? Furthermore, I am pregnant with my 8 month old baby so it was so uncomfortable staying in the humid room. The difference being in the hallway, to walking in a stale hot smelly room without AC really hits you in the face. ||||Also, when I used the phone in the hotel to call the operator/front desk to explain the situation, she was very rude and spoke in a

The rudeness of the front desk staff is the main reason I will not return. The only polite person who was able to help was the manager. I called to see why the deposit had not been refunded after 6 business days and I will have to call back again if after 10 business days it has not been returned. The breakfast items were not refilled and there was still an hour left.

Good: Central location, accessible to a variety of dining options within walking distance from the hotel. Cleanliness of hotel, lobby is inviting and well stocked with snacks. Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in early after a long flight.||||Bad: Our room was booked through a third party. Upon check-in, the information could not be easily found in their system, and there was no due diligence to retrieve the reservation. This resulted in an additional credit card being charged (double payment) for one night and incidentals, which was noted by staff at the time of check out. The manager was called to rectify, however she dismissed the urgency to provide a receipt or to resolve the issue. Even three days after check out, the matter still has not been rectified

Positive: The hotel is not terribly far for the sporting event that my daughter was attending so that was highly convenient Negative: Unfortunately, the couch was stained when I did get there. My side of the bed on the floor was completely wet, and there was a stain there the sheets had a few stains on them. There was mold in the bathroom up high on the wall but I didn?t notice
