Hyatt Place Chicago – Medical / University District

Positive: Everything ... space, location, food, gym Negative: Needs some routine maintenance ... bathroom sink ... breather holes ... was black with mold? Simple scrubbing and bleach should fix that. Coffee spill in hallway was there for my entire stay

Hotel was beautiful and modern. The staff were friendly and professional. Our fridge didn’t work in our room which was never addressed but not a deal breaker. Our leftovers survived without it. The room was overall clean. However, the blanket was filthy. Housekeeping changed it immediately. Breakfast was good and offered turkey sausage which was great since I do not eat pork. Parking was terrible and the lot makes zero sense due to the inability to exit an aisle without reversing back out. People do not know how to park within the yellow lines so it made it so that many spaces were not accessible for our large SUV. Parking should be complimentary just because of how difficult it is to access the lot. However, I would stay here again due to the modern and clean building and great staff. The

The location of the Hyatt Place Chicago- Medical/University was great. Forgot to mention in another review the parking lot was not my favorite. The atmosphere was great though. When we got there the check-in line was pretty long, but the man who checked me in was fantastic, friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room with a king bed/sofa, which we loved. The rooms were nice. Most of all we felt safe. If you're looking to go to the Salt Shed, driving there is about 15 min and it's really easy with Lyft if you go that route.

Our hotel stay was fabulous. The room was spacious and very clean, and we didn’t hear much noise at all, which made for a relaxing stay. Parking was a little hard to find upon arrival—we ended up parking in the hospital lot—but just know it’s the lot on the far left behind the hotel building. It worked out well, and there were plenty of spots available in the evening. Breakfast was nice, and the location is extremely convenient—very close to United Center parking and very easy to get back to after events. We would definitely stay here again!

My first time in Chicago and my first time staying here and it was an incredible experience. Everything about this place stands out: super clean, perfectly located, and plenty of accessible parking with easy access to many attractions. Service was top tier. The front desk team was welcoming and professional, and Ricky and Joel at the bar delivered amazing service and great energy. 📌The property carries a beautiful historical atmosphere that makes the stay feel unique. And the breakfast was beyond amazing. If you’re visiting Chicago, this place is a must. Five stars all the way. Recommended if you value details and real experiences and real opinions. 👑👑
