Hyatt House Davis

The staff was fantastic! Very welcoming from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. It's in a good location near downtown Davis. I stayed in a room with all the amenities of home within reach. Free breakfast and a nice bar where you could order wings, pizza, and small bites to enjoy.

Typically I don't write reviews here, but I feel compelled for this one. First off, I called the hotel a couple weeks out to let them know I would be staying one fewer night than originally planned. I was told that this constituted a new booking and my room was no longer available. After much back and forth, I was able to retain my room, but at a higher cost per night, nearly costing as much as my original stay. As it was during the holidays traveling with children and conveniently located, I stuck with it. ||Upon arrival and out of the elevator on the second floor where we stayed, things smelled bad, like week-old hot dogs. At our room, the door was open, which honestly freaked my kids out. I made sure nobody was inside before bringing in our luggage. Both window shades did not work and

Only the noise from the highway and the location is a bit far from the university! The receptionist very helpful, but I was not able to get my deposit USD50 back!

The space of the time is adequate for a family stay. However, other than Emily, the hotel staff are not very helpful or friendly. I've called a couple of times and they answer with a ,"hello" Instead of the hotel name. Staff needs to be trained in better representation of the hotel name. Cleanliness is a must, I had to work down the counters and bathroom area.

By far this was the absolute worst experience I’ve EVER had at any hotel and I’m a diamond Hilton member, Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member and working my way up Hyatt’s program too and this was that bad! I stayed here just last week for 3 horrible nights for work. Also, I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels thru out my years of traveling for work, also I was an AGM of a Marriott property years ago and this hotel is so bad. To start off with I had a USED disposable razor on top of the bath towels in the shower, when I told the desk I received no apology and was told by the manager that he made sure fresh towels were put in my room.
