Hi - Wheel Flats, CA - Sacramento Area

If I had written this review maybe even a year ago, my rating would be higher. Things here have only gotten worse though. One of the glaring issues here is the mold. It's in the acs and more than likely inside of the walls. This is not helped by the fact that the rooms have poor ventilation, especially the bathrooms. I and several other residents here have gotten sick from it. And if you're around you can hear the respiratory issues people are having. Another thing, they do not properly clean their rooms. I've found odd stains on what are supposed to be clean sheets, had to wipe the floor because being barefoot in the room for even an hour left my feet black, had to spend what felt like hours scrubbing the shower because of the grime. The room smelled like cigarettes so strongly that it made me and my girlfriend sick (sore throat, coughing, sneezing, headache, congestion) after just two nights. We had to wash all of our things afterwards to get rid of the smell. There were burn holes in the blankets, the sink was leaking, the room was not clean, and the air conditioning intake vent had an ashtray sitting on it. The fridge was dirty and smelled bad. There was low-quality soap and no other toiletries. People were also smoking outside of the room all day.

Our stay was wonderful, great price in a convenient location. The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. They are super friendly and quick to resolve any issues that came up. The grounds were well maintained and trash was cleaned up immediately.

Do Not Stay here. It boggles my mind that Hilton Garden has the same rating as this property. It is a VERY SCARY property. Read the reviews! For me they simply would not honor any part of my 2 night reservation because I showed up after midnight for the first night. Perhaps it was a blessing.
