Hilton Garden Inn Davis Downtown

Stayed while helping my child move to Davis. Wonderful experience. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. We paid for parking which was very helpful. We parked in the underground garage which is great for small to medium sized vehicles. The location is perfect and highly walkable. In my reservation request I asked for a room away from the train and the train sound was not a problem at all. They provide complimentary ear plugs but we never needed them.

Check in staff was kind, location is pretty good with quick accessibility to most of downtown. The main hang up I have with this property is cleanliness. It is bad enough that it ruins any other positive traits and negatively affected my experience. #1 the Air in my room just smelled off, and continued to for my whole stay #2 there were small little signs that the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned such as little wrappers/trash, and overall just dusty and musty The age of this hotel isn’t my main concern, it’s just its very poor state of disrepair

Just stayed here with friends on vacation and it was SO nice. Very convenient location, the beds were super comfy, the lobby was beautiful, and the staff was very helpful with everything we needed. They made sure we were taken care of and their helpfulness definitely heightened the general vibe of the stay. We had several early mornings during this visit, so I was worried about getting a good nights sleep in a hotel, but the rooms were very quiet as well! Overall, a great experience, I would definitely come back if visiting again.

Booked this room for my spouse's birthday, so we can have a night out, see a movie and have dinner. Davis is great by the way, very walkable. The room is nice but that is about where it ends. The parking is extra, $17, the amenities in the room are minimal, we couldn't shower because a raw sewage smell emanated from the shower (we had a bad experience in Santa Barbara with something similar that made us sick for days), and the bed was hard as a rock. Would I recommend this hotel? No, unless all the above doesn't matter to you. It is conveniently located, the staff is nice, and the room clean, but I would never book it again. Sorry.
