Hyatt House Chicago / West Loop-Fulton Market

A family group of about 20 gathered in Chicago for an important milestone birthday, and we booked multiple rooms at the Hyatt House/ West Loop. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was very good with many choices, and the breakfast staff and housekeeping were consistently courteous and helpful. The front desk crew was also accommodating and pleasant. The third floor lobby, bar, seating area was comfortable and spacious, a great gathering spot where our large group could meet up. Wish we could have recovered the flat iron that was left behind in a room, but that's life in the big city.

I absolutely loved being a guest here my stay was exceptional. The service was amazing, and the check-in process was completely seamless. The rooms were extremely clean, and I never once had to request housekeeping, which is very rare and truly appreciated. The only downside was the parking, which felt highly inflated. However, the hotel does recommend more affordable parking options, which was helpful. Aside from that minor issue, everything else exceeded my expectations. The location is phenomenal!!!! The West Loop is a very happening location. It’s safe, convenient, and close to everything you could imagine. Positive: "" Negative: Despite having a reservation 3 weeks prior they oversold the hotel and when we arrived at midnight they informed us there was no room. They still charged us and have not refunded us to date. I would be very cautious booking a reservation at this hotel.

This hotel has declined significantly in quality and service. It used to be exceptionally well run and a familiar spot to stay close to offices. Now my latest experience was extremely concerning due to very dirty sheets that are a biohazard concern. The GM Craig never responded or reached out despite me contacting him. They should be reviewed and held accountable. Disgusting hotel and extremely poor customer service.

Headline: bedbugs and poor communication. Stayed 4 nights. Sheets changed after 2nd night. 3rd night felt a little itchy. The last morning we woke up covered in bites. We drove to Chicago, so we trash bagged our stuff and bought new clothes. They called in pest control (we saw the van) and told us they would let us know what they find. Will modify this review if they ever get back to us. Edit 1: The exterminator claim they found no bugs. We were diagnosed by a physician as having bed bug bites. You can decide who you believe. Looking at other reviews, it seems this hotel has gaslit other guests who claim to have bedbugs. Other than the bugs...it was meh for the price.
