Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa

I returned to Hutchinson Island after selling my home of 45 years. I have watched this resort develop over the years and finally found an opportunity to return and experience. The location is top notch and the ownership has done a nice job with the new build. Nice appointments and decorations throughout. However, it still appears that some tweaks to operations are necessary. Location can only compensate for so much. Starting the day with a long wait for $5 cups of fresh coffee is a major disappointment for an establishment charging high end rates. The small in room Keurig simply does not suffice. This was a sentiment shared by many waiting in line for coffee. Is complimentary coffee with easy access in the lobby that hard? The room sizes are adequate and the views of the ocean

I unfortunately have to write to due to how bad of an experience I had here recently. I have been returning to this resort several times with my family and several friends. Was always great till now. The night before our stay they called us the night before telling us our room isn’t available because they overbooked. Meanwhile we booked this resort over 6 months ago. They were rude to my wife on the phone and was basically telling her to just cancel her trip which would be unfortunate since we had four other families coming with us. They were telling us maybe someone in our party will give up their room then to accommodate us. After they said they can accommodate us we would have to switch rooms during our stay. Which was unfortunate since I have a 2 year old who needs to nap and had to be

A great location right on the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice amenities, including free cookies every night and morning snacks (bananas, muffins) every morning. My only complaint is the maid service. We were there for 6 nights and not once did they make up our room before 4 pm. One day, the turn down service came just 30 minutes after the room was made up. But overall, a great place to stay

They are very greedy to the point that they cut happy hour a day short!!! Instead of Monday through Friday it’s only Monday through Thursday and it’s only 3 hours! Plus they charge their own guests $40 for an umbrella on the beach and they collect the seats at 5 pm!!! That’s ******* ridiculous!!

Great place (I expected no less for the price!). Spent 10 nights. Booked an Ocean -Front Room; great sites! Had our coffee on the balcony every morning & watched the sun-rise. Very peaceful. Did not use Valet nor dine at the Drift restaurant, but heard the food was wonderful! Our maid service was exceptional, and the pantry at 6am was a bonus, as well as all the bottled water you could ever drink and the evening chocolates!
