Howard Johnson by Wyndham Virginia Beach

I staid on a Friday night and the room was decently clean but the faucets on the tub were messed up. I let it go. Staff was nice. I came back Saturday night and was given the same room. This time however, there was hair in the shower. I brought this up to the gentlemen who was at the desk and he was very apologetic and said he would let house keeping know. I then later found three little tiny bugs in the room. I dispatched them and called the front desk to let them know. After that I found several other bugs running around the bathroom. I just went to bed and decided I would speak to management in the morning. But I was met with hostility. Told I should should have called someone else, that I was the only person to complain about bugs, I should have asked to change rooms. Full on yellin

Place should be cheaper than a motel 6, absolutely horrific stay. ||-Constant mixed signals while booking, Google maps says pet friendly so imagine my surprise when I call ahead after getting a gut feeling to find that they dont actually have pet friendly rooms. Had to leave my 17 year old dog home for our one vacation of the year. On top of that breakfast online says 6 to 10 and at the front desk go figure it ends at 9. Just about every single piece of crucial information is inaccurate.||-Called 3 separate times to add a new day to the reservation, they mess that up. I ask if there's a deposit for the smoking room I booked separate from my family, they say 50 dollars for smoking rooms only. They mess that up. Its 50 for every room, im only told this upon arriving. ||-Wifi doesnt work, the

This place was horrible! Cockroaches in the room and out on the sidewalk. Rooms had no coffee maker, no clock. Used washcloth left in bathroom from previous people. TV falling off the wall. Toilet didn't want to flush and when it got clogged they didn't fix it, we did. Coffee in the lobby was always empty. It was all just horrible. Do not stay here even if you are trying to save a dollar. It's not worth it. I had to shake out all my bags and make sure I didn't carry any roaches home with me. Probably did have bed bugs too but I didn't have a black light to check.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Plumbing issues. Shower kept pooling when showering, the next room they offered had hot water issues and issues flushing toilet. The door to both rooms had a big crack at the bottom which prevented the door from closing all the way. Needs to be cleaned!

Absolutely Terrible Experience I was initially offered a late checkout at noon when I paid for my room, but the next day the staff turned incredibly rude. They came to my room to basically force me out, despite the late checkout arrangement. When I explained what had been agreed upon, they brought in the manager, who was unbelievably rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, the room itself was disgusting smelled like cigarette smoke and was far from clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.
