Hotel Riu Plaza Chicago

My partner & I had a great stay at Hotel Riu Plaza Chicago. The price was very reasonable for two nights. The location is perfect — everything is within walking distance. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, and having someone assist with our bags and bring them up to our room was such a helpful touch! We stayed in a Deluxe King room, which was spacious, modern, and felt very new. The hotel itself is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent: a large buffet, and the staff seated us and provided attentive service, which made the experience feel a bit elevated… (My only small suggestion would be to add extra tissue boxes in the room and additional trash liners outside of the bathroom.) Other than that, I would absolutely stay here again! Great room, great service, and great location.

I stayed at RIU Plaza Chicago in October for a business trip. Overall, it is a very good hotel in an excellent location.|The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and professional. The rooftop bar is also a nice bonus, with a great atmosphere and views.|The only real downside is breakfast. The breakfast area is far too small for the number of guests. There are too many tables in a limited space, and you often have to stand in line just to get in. The whole experience feels like an assembly line, even though the food selection itself is actually quite good and of good quality.|Apart from the breakfast crowd management, everything else was very good. A solid choice for both business and city trips, especially because of the location.

Positive: The interior design of the shared spaces and breakfast area. Great location and it was right next to all the best Michigan Ave has to offer. The rooftop bar they have is also great. Negative: Cleanliness and bathroom set up. Did not like the trash bins– they looked cheap and had no lid so you would sell all the used toilet paper. Terrible bathroom door. Bottles for hand soap/ shower gels-they all kept falling every time we tried using them.

Highly recommended top notch hotel in a brilliant location on Chicago’s magnificent mile. Amazing views from rooms. Well appointed spotlessly clean large room. Bathroom spectacular. Breakfast was plentiful offering hot options alongside an assortment of cold cuts, cheese, smoked salmon and fresh bakery along with fruit and cereals. Excellent lobby bar with a number of TV’s generally showing live sport (Some premier league football available too). All staff were courteous and professional. Will hope to stay again soon

Great hotel! Fantastic location! Absolutely amazing staff! Alma was really wonderful and welcoming and thoughtful! She sent us some delicious sparkling wine for our anniversary and gave us the most awesome restaurant recommendations! Thank you, Alma, for making our trip so special! We appreciate you!! ❤️
