The location is very convenient and the courtyard is beautiful. That’s the good… The bad. If you enjoy clean sheets only then this is the spot for you. We had two different rooms and both were so disgusting. The walls and all surfaces need to be cleaned…. It wasn’t just dust if you catch my drift. The bathrooms were extremely gross. The dirty/grimy rooms were addressed with the front desk and pictures were provided. We did not ask for anything other than it to be cleaned up. The front desk employee apologized and assured us it would be cleaned. It was never cleaned and house cleaning didn’t even come everyday. We ended up walking to cvs to purchase our own cleaning products to make the room bearable . Stay somewhere else.

My bestie and I are December babies, so we share our birthdays together by going somewhere. When she lived in San Diego, we went up to San Francisco. But since she's in Georgia, she suggested New Orleans. Didn't have to twist my arm! I searched through TA to find the right property that we just needed to sleep in. I found Hotel Mazarin as the most centrally located to get to anywhere. But what sold me was the wine bar, Patrick Bar Vin, that's adjacent because we love wine!||William at the front desk was friendly and inviting and was able to put our rooms close to each other and on the same floor. He even showed us the secret passageway to the jazz bar, 21st Amendment. Ok, now I really love the Mazarin!||My room was in the back facing a small courtyard which was perfect because it w

Terrific location in the heart of the French Quarter -- located on Bienville between Royal and Bourbon. Our room was a balcony that allowed plenty of people watching but also because it wasn't on one of the more touristy streets it was still relaxing. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was very nicely modeled and modern. I disliked the open shower design that always sprayed water on the slick tile floors requiring towels on the floor to soak the mess. Housekeeping was always quick to clean rooms in the morning while at breakfast. Management was always very helpful. My only complaints were: 1) the room has a musty smell when we first checked in. We notified the desk and they promptly attempted to address it. They improved things but there was always a very slight smell even though the

Positive: The hotel was gorgeous, the room was lovely, the location was excellent. Negative: The light in the bathroom was set extremely dim. It was like being in the dark. Also, it was an open shower so the floor got all wet. I don?t understand the concept of not having a shower door. Apart from this, the hotel was fantastic .

Overall, great place to stay. This was our 3rd stay. I would have given 5 stars Overall but I did not because of conflict in what was reported online about balcony rooms & what I was told when we arrived. I selected the superior king room & noted from website that the view could be either balcony OR courtyard view. In comment section, I asked for balcony view. After checking in & getting to the room, I found we had courtyard view. After asking the personnel at front desk if there were any balcony view rooms available, he said there was 1 but it would be an additional $50 per night & I respectfully declined because at this point, we just wanted to go out & start enjoying our evening. Afterwards, I went back to make sure that what I thought the information said about room was correct from my
