The Hotel Maison Pierre Lafitte is tough to score. There is a lot of good. The staff is super friendly, accommodating and communicative. The location is great, just outside the French Quarter, but close enough to walk anywhere there and if you can't walk, it is close to bus and street car lines. The rooms are clean with plenty of towels and essentials. Our room was a 1 br flat. There was plenty of room for 4 people. Contrary to some of the Comments, we found the hotel quiet for a New Orleans stay. However, the water pressure was weak and the water temp never got above lukewarm for a shower. That really is not acceptable. Also, the bed had an old (can tell by the indentations in the bed), overly soft mattress on a very creaky wooden frame. Again, that's not acceptable. Because t
Booked her through RCI staying in a one bedroom loft. Previously booked a 2 bedroom way back in Covid times that was cancelled as flying from UK wasn’t allowed, so really wanted to stay here. ||Upon arrival at 10pm and getting into our room having been previously given codes for outside door (reception isn’t manned 24/7). We weren’t disappointed, it wasn’t up to the usual standard of accommodation we usually stay in! But my! it’s a quaint, ornate old building with lots of charm and character once you get inside. |We stayed in 201 with a door directly onto the wrap around balcony with direct view of Canal Street. Having flown in from Tampa we decided to pop over the road get some adult beverages and sit on the balcony watching the world go by. Streetcars, boy racers, emergency service veh
Okay, hear me out…. I booked this room for NYE without reading reviews. I read reviews a few days prior and got nervous. We are local and just needed a decent place to sleep close to The Orpheum Theater. It’s an old building… any building in NOLA that was built prior to 2005, you will have to worry about mold. Luckily, there were no visible signs of mold like others stated, but my allergies were reacting as if there was. Like I said, to be expected. We stayed in a 1 bedroom- room 301. Based on reviews, it seems like every room is different. Our bedroom had a full size bed. Not the best (or the worst) mattress. The bathroom is tiny. No TV in the bedroom, but there’s a small smart tv in the “living room”. Our room didn’t have a balcony, but there was access to one right outside of our room.
Ok hear me out...it has potential. And it was not awful...but the pictures online are definitely misleading. I don't know what floor those rooms are on but it wasn't mine. My room was much older and was a little like being in someone's attic. Overall I would describe it as maybe a little dingey. The room was mostly clean but there are just a few changes that could make a big difference. Almost all the outlets were loose (like coming away from the wall) and the ones in the bathroom didn't work at all. Around the AC vent was super dusty and had black built up on the wall around it. The AC did work well. When i sat down on the corner of the bed, the whole mattress tried to come up (I'm only 155lbs sooooo it wasn't on my end). There were no tables set up on the balcony but there was an outdoor
Our family had a wonderful time at the Hotel Maison Pierre Lafitte. The hotel offered an old time look and feel, and it was located very close to Canal Street and the French Quarter. The staff were all very nice and very willing to help. The second and third floors had balconies, and offered exterior furnishings, which allowed for outside coffee/beverage enjoyment while watching pedestrian, trolley, and other vehicular movement on Canal Street throughout the day. Our room offered a fairly large refrigerator, a microwave, a two-eyed electric cook top, a mini sink, a toaster, and a coffee pot. In addition, our overall room offered two private bedrooms and a decent sized bathroom (with a tub and shower head). Also some rooms (in our overall hotel room) had large (one-way view) tinted windows
