Hotel Madera

Clean, spacious rooms and fantastic bathroom! We stayed in a double queen room (no balcony needed in Feb) and the room was lovely. There was a little sitting area with a couch and desk that made it feel very roomy for our family of 3. The bathroom was gigantic, shower was amazing and I loved having a large vanity for all our stuff. The staff were all lovely, especially Karen, and every time we needed something we were met with friendliness. (I did have to ask for more blankets because their comforters were more like sheets.) They were having a special - get your third night free, which made the stay very affordable. Location is great. I personally would have preferred the option for a free coffee instead of a free happy hour drink but no other complaints. Would highly recommend and be happ

I always enjoy staying at Hotel Madera anytime I come to DC. This was my 3rd or 4th stay here. My recent stay was my first time solo, and it was my birthday so I wanted to have a great experience. On arrival, I am always greeted by the most kind and welcoming front desk concierge. When booking, I asked if there were any complimentary treats I could receive for my birthday in the special request box online, honestly not even expecting anything but why not ask and see. Not only was I gifted a birthday package in my room that included a card, wine, a chocolate treat and a savory treat, but I was also surprised with a room upgrade! I enjoyed the conversation with the woman (forgive me for forgetting her name) at the front desk and the recommendations she gave me to enjoy the city. The men were

I stayed two nights on a business trip, and overall it was great. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming, and helped me with a few things throughout the stay. The lobby's nothing special - just a desk and a few steps to the elevator, and there's an underlying smell from the gas heat. The rooms themselves are great. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, and I was given a room facing the back of the hotel so it was very quiet (I'll always choose quiet over view). There's a Welcome Hour every evening from 5-6 where you can get a glass of wine/beer or cocktail for free, which is a nice touch, and there are water refill (still or sparkling!) and ice stations on every floor. Overall, it was a great stay.

We are nearing the end of our stay at Hotel Madera, sadly. |We’ve had such a great stay! Everyone is so attentive and helpful, making our time here relaxing and enjoyable. ||The Firefly crew was awesome! Tina and Andy took good care of us at the bar and MJ was like family after just a couple visits. ||5 stars!!!

We had such a fantastic experience thanks to our bartender Andy. He went above and beyond—creating custom, absolutely delicious cocktails based on our preferences and making us feel instantly welcome. On top of that, he gave us dinner recommendations The drinks, the conversation, and the care he put into the whole experience truly made our night and set the tone for our time in the city. We’ll absolutely be back and recommending this place to friends.
