I’m not one to leave a bad review, but unfortunately, Hotel Lincoln’s 4-star rating doesn’t quite match my experience. It’s more like a 2-star hotel with a decent location. My room was dated, dirty, and fell short of most American standards. The shower didn’t have hot water for most of the weekend, and there was a dried, white liquid on the bed base near my pillow. To top it off, there was no TV remote in our room. The staff didn’t answer the phone in the evenings, so we had to go down to the lobby to report any issues. We were only given one washcloth and floor towel, which housekeeping removed after the first day and never replaced. I can tolerate basic amenities, but cleanliness is a must. I woke up both mornings with swollen eyes and face. As someone who works in hospitality, I can
Great views of Lincoln Park, the pond, the zoo and Lake Michigan. The bedroom was separate from the living area and there were 2 bathrooms. The bathrooms could of used more light but overall they were so clean and spacious showers. No noise unless the windows were open, but it is an active and vibrant part of the city so it is expected. Eric our front desk associate was the best! The coffee shop was not open or staff in the morning but we found a gem of a restaurant around the corner called Nookies for breakfast. This hotel is my go to for any personal or business trips in the city.
Cozy hotel close to a great part of town. It is a hotel converted from an old apartment building so the suites are roomy and feel more like an apartment than a hotel. It was clean and well kept. Room phone didnt work and bathroom window didnt open, but these were minor nits to the experience. Kitchenette sink and fridge, couch, bedroom and bath with a nice tub.
Had a wonderful stay at the Lincoln hotel. Cindy at the front desk was amazing! She worked so hard to make sure we had a room with a great view, talked us through a list of restaurant recommendations, and took the time to made us feel welcomed. Beautiful rooms with incredible views and excellent rooftop! Thank you Cindy and all the staff at the Lincoln for making this year’s “cousin holiday sleepover” a very special one!
Positive: Great location, rooftop bar, staff Negative: Terribly tiny and outdated rooms. Old TV with cable that didn't work and old shower/sink that was hard to operate. Overall would not stay here again.
