Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District by IHG

We stayed in The Guckenheimer Loft Suite, and it was both spacious and beautiful. The suite features a large high-top table with four chairs, a wet bar with a microwave, a K-Cup Keurig, and a mini fridge—perfect for a comfortable stay. One of our favorite features was the spiral staircase leading to the loft queen bedroom, which includes a TV and dresser (no closet). We also loved the cozy sitting area with a couch and a door that closes, offering added privacy.||The bathroom was nice and roomy. The primary bedroom had a very comfortable king bed, a dresser, two nightstands, and a space to hang clothes.||During our stay, we received two drink tokens per day (one per adult) to use at the bar. I chose to stay at the Hotel Indigo Savannah because of an excellent experience I had in the past, but this visit left me somewhat disappointed. The lobby has a post‑industrial design similar to the Indigo I visited in Pittsburgh, which I appreciated. The reception staff were generally attentive, yet I never truly felt welcomed during check‑in or throughout my interactions with them. The room itself was clean, well maintained, and offered a pleasant view of the river. Despite the nearby road, noise was not an issue, and the overall comfort of the room met expectations. For breakfast, I received coupons intended to cover two adults. However, they only covered the price of two dishes. I had to pay extra for my two children, drinks, and other items. My dog and I had a great time at this hotel! There was construction outside the building and the elevator to the suites is currently out of order. But the staircase is right next to the working elevator and it’s only half a flight of stairs up or down to the suites. Plus, they waived the pet fee and comped my breakfast! I also didn’t notice construction noise because I wasn’t in the room during the day. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean, the double shower heads were a nice surprise, and the shrimp and grits were delicious. The location is excellent. Overall, great time and I would definitely return!

Positive: "" Negative: The bathroom was not clean at all. Shower looked dingy at best. I have to wait at least 30 minutes to valet as no one was ever at the stand. Front desk was not accommodating at all. Would not give a late check out.

The staff was RUDE!!!!! The breakfast they served was expensive but looked like it was served for people in prison. The hotel bar staff was nice at least but that’s probably because you’re tipping them. At least the rooms were nice. And the valet was nice too. But definitely not worth the money to stay here. Would not recommend. What happened to southern hospitality? lol
