Great place to stay. Very hospitable staff. Justin was very friendly and helpful with our vehicle (vallet) and luggage. The daily complimentary happy hour was delightful, and the restaurant has excellent food. The room was well appointed, however, it was very hot, and didn't seem to matter what you set the thermostat to. Also, it would have been helpful to have had more hooks for hanging towels/clothes in the bathroom along with a small table/stool to set things on. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and the hotel is perfectly located. We will be back!
Have been to Savannah several times and stayed in different hotels/inns, and this was the best so far. Definitely has a charming, unique, and historic inn feel to it throughout, not "big box" hotel at all. The staff are all friendly and professional, room and all lobby spaces were very clean. The location is perfect for exploring the historic district. I stayed in a full-size room which was very small but perfect for a solo traveler, reminded me of similar compact single/small double rooms common in small European hotels. Amenities include free bottled water, a good simple continental-style breakfast with table service, and a nice evening wine and cheese reception (highly recommend attending the history talk if available to learn a bit of history about Savannah and the inn itself). Positive: I enjoyed being able to see my car in the parking garage behind the place. Also I enjoyed interacting with the haunts in there. Negative: It?s LOUD. you literally hear everything. Every footstep. Every conversation. Every siren outside. The door doesn?t go all the way to the floor letting light in. Luckily the bed wasn?t in view of the door so not too bad.
I cannot say enough about The Marshall House. The services were excellent! The staff was great, helpful and personable. The breakfast was amazing; good to the last cup of coffee. The evening cheese and wine was great too! If you are looking for a nostalgic feeling this is it! It felt like being apart of history but with electric, lol. There is definitely a part of history that still lives there. I would highly recommend staying.
Charming Inn nestled in a very convenient location in downtown Savannah. For me, it was the highlight of our weekend getaway. Staff were all welcoming and attentive. I appreciated the historical feel of the inn, creaking of a few boards and original fireplaces. However, it’s well maintained for a comfortable stay. We loved the evening wine down with entertainment in the lobby and the restaurant style breakfast was a unique bonus for a hotel stay. I would most certainly stay here again and recommend to anyone that enjoys a cozy, unique hotel with a slightly mysterious atmosphere
