Godley Manor

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the beautiful Godley Manor in September. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the delicious continental breakfast. Beth, the innkeeper, was very friendly and offered us many tips about Savannah. The location is great, just two blocks from Forsyth Park, and so close to everything in the historic district. We really appreciated the free, off-street parking. We spent six nights at the inn and loved it.

I can only echo all of the other 5-star reviews. This is an exceptional B&B. The room is extremely comfortable, clean, private, and well-equipped (great bed, shower, WiFi, amenities). The wonderful staff makes you feel totally at home with small touches that go a long way. The hotel is totally safe for all travelers (including solo women travelers) and located on a peaceful block not far from the key sites (obviously exercise normal city precautions in Savannah). Thank you to Beth, Pam, Anne and the entire team for your hard work, wonderful conversations, and thoughtful and care from check-in to check-out. What a charming find! The Godley family has done a superb job restoring Godley Manor and creating a beautiful, welcoming space to stay in Savannah. I am so glad they had availability during our trip and that we chose this over a hotel. It made the entire visit feel more personal and special. The location is perfect, just a short walk to most areas of the historic district, and the house itself is full of character and comfort. We loved that the first-floor rooms have private entrances, and the main floor offers a huge shared space and a wonderful porch for relaxing. A light breakfast is provided each morning, which was a lovely touch. Our host, Beth, could not have been more accommodating. She is a true example of Southern hospitality at its finest. We spent a few wonderful days and nights at the Manor as part of a vacation in Georgia. It’s a charming house which has seen a lot of effort go into its preservation and maintenance. A friendly and gracious welcome from Beth set the tone for the rest of our stay. We loved our room which was spacious, cool, quiet and with a great bathroom. Breakfast was perfect and set us up for the days of sightseeing. But a real highlight was being able to sit and relax on the rocking chairs on the balcony sipping a glass of wine and watching the storms roll through. Ample parking and an easy walk to the centre taking in the sights and sounds of Savannah. One small request - hide the M&M jar - way too tempting! Highly recommended!

This manor is so beautiful it just takes your breath.., Our first time staying in a bed and breakfast I don’t know how the other owners are but this place was so nice and friendly and very helpful on things to do how the get there on a map . The bed in room 303 was so comfortable ! I just had back surgery about 6 months ago and I was worried about this. But we hit it very lucky.! We will be back. Such a beautiful town and the history is amazing! Thank you , Godley family
