I was so excited to finally stay at Hotel El Roblar, and it completely exceeded my expectations!! Even though it is only a few months old, it already runs like a well-oiled machine and, in my opinion, it's easily one of the most special hotels in California and definitely the best hotel in Ojai. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Ojai, and the decor, service, and amenities perfectly capture the essence of the town. Once we arrived, we had a hard time leaving the property because we just thought this was the best boutique hotel experience!! We stayed at the Hotel El Roblar after Christmas for two nights. After reading the previous reviews I called the hotel in advance to ask for a room on the top floor to avoid any noise from having a room above ours. We stayed in room 50 - the end room on the second floor. The room was a standard sized king room and was comfortable with a nice size bathroom . The closet consisted of an open hanging area within the bedroom and there was no space to store luggage. I would give the room a rating of 6 out of 10. The hotel, itself, has a retro vibe which fits with its history. The lobby is a large room with a big fire place that is cozy and welcoming - and packed every night (the staff says it has become a hang out for locals). My stay at Hotel El Roblar was truly memorable thanks to its beautiful setting and exceptionally friendly staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful, personalized service throughout my visit, every interaction felt genuine and caring. The cozy room and small special touches made the experience even more special, turning a simple trip into an unforgettable stay.

El Roblar was 10/10. Came here for a family reunion and imagined all the possibilities for this space: weddings, milestone birthdays, corporate/executive offsites, and just a weekend away with the family. The rooms were clean, quiet, and upscale. Service and staff were friendly and attentive. Location was perfect for walking and exploring Ojai. You can tell this reimagined hotel and experience was masterfully created and built to be a lasting staple in the Ojai community.

This place was an absolute oasis, the perfect getaway for two from the busyness and claustrophobia of LA. Nestled right on the Strip in Ojai, the location couldn’t be more ideal. You’re steps away from incredible shops, cozy bars, and all that Ojai has to offer. That said, the hotel’s own Snug Bar and Condor Bar were so exceptional that you barely need to leave the property. The Snug Bar had such an intimate, fun energy! full of people who made you feel like you were at a friend’s house, but in the most elevated, stylish way.
