Blue Iguana Inn

The Blue Iguana Inn has beautiful architecture and huge, amazing rooms. Our “room” was more like a house: two big bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed, a full kitchen, a beautiful living room with a gas fireplace, one and a half bathrooms, and even a large side patio with a table and chairs. Having the second bathroom was fantastic and we had NO common walls! The service was excellent and the place was quiet. We look forward to going there again and getting the same spacious house, Bungalow #6.

My sister and I have been doing girls weekends in Ojai for some time and have stayed at both Iguanas. We absolutely love the homey, laid back feel. Our most recent stay was at the Blue Iguana and we chose it because it’s on the outskirts of town and so quiet. We love the comfortable beds, the beautiful scenery, the rustic feel and enjoy drinking our Ojai Vineyards wine in the hot tub after a day of exploring. Unfortunately this trip the hottub wasn’t heating up properly:(. But upon bringing it to management’s attention we were offered a compensation so generous. We will stay here again and again! Great property & great people!

Wow, what a fantastic experience!! This is such a gem. We only stayed one night but I was sad to leave so soon. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. We got the breakfast basket which I recommend doing. The grounds are nothing short or gorgeous. Natural but well maintained and very welcoming. The staff was amazing - helpful, present, and friendly. We can't wait to return.

I really enjoyed this place. I had a room that looked out onto the pool. The room was nice/comfy, and the built in hot tub by the pool was great. The front desk will get you ice if you ask. I do get annoyed with places putting a bunch of things for sale in the room (water, candy, etc), but that's a minor thing. I loved the campus feel of the place with buildings spread around and some common green areas.

We booked Blue Iguana because it was the only hotel we could find that would let us book 1 night (Sunday check in). The property is lovely. Well taken care of and designed with giving guests privacy. Our room was two queen beds (the only one on the property) and it was so spacious, very clean and comfortable. The mattress was wonderful (slept so well). Very reasonably priced. It was a short trip, but very much enjoyed the property. The only negative was it's on the outskirts of the main part of town. It doesn't seem that way on a map, but you can't walk into town and if you want to be in the heart of the shopping & restaurants, this would not be the place to stay.
