Hotel Contessa

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Contessa. Everyone was very welcome and the hotel was very clean. Our room was amazing! We enjoyed hanging out in the living room and watching TV. There was so much space. We also loved the view from our room and it had easy access to the River walk. We felt very safe and will return again.

Simply the best hotel we've experienced in the last 10 years. The location is central to everything in San Antonio. There is a CVS one block over, a What-a-Burger two blocks away, (big deal if you're in TX). From the lobby to the room, the hotel is warm and inviting (where other hotels are institutional). The drive in from Houston was a headache and Karen recognized how harried we were and anticipated our needs. She even sent up a nice charcuterie plate and chilled water to ensure our comfort. The view, city or Riverwalk, is phenomenal. I don't think there is a bad room in this hotel. Also, the coffee at the Ambler is great. We're already planning our next stay.

I wanted to share my experience from today speaking to Alec. My family stay at Hotel Contessa in 2018 for a completely day by day planned out family trip. The second day we were there was our day planned for Sea World. When we arrived in valet that morning to pick out car up, our keys were nowhere to be found. BIG ISSUE!!! We remained patient but lost almost an ENTIRE day of our trip because they could not find them. Later that day after rolling cameras back etc., they found the valet had left them in another customers car!!!! At this time, we were told how sorry they were and offered a free meal. They also sent the big manager to let us know if we had a future stay with them, we would get a comp due to this. So fast forward to now. We told them at the time we don't travel there a lot but

As a first-time visitor to San Antonio, I wanted a place that was both comfortable and top quality—and Hotel Contessa exceeded my expectations. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I especially loved the Christmas decorations (I’m a huge holiday lover); it truly felt like home. The room was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect—close to all the tourist spots, near downtown, with a beautiful river view. Overall, an amazing stay!

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing.|We arrived with high expectations, and while the hotel itself is reasonably clean and the room quality was acceptable for the price, those positives were completely overshadowed by a serious incident involving the valet parking service.|When we retrieved our vehicle the following day, we immediately noticed that the interior had been disturbed. The center console and glove compartment were open, items were scattered, and the seat covers were displaced. Shortly after, we realized that a backpack we had left inside the vehicle was missing. We reported this to the valet staff, but it took several minutes to reach someone in charge. The individual who addressed us did not introduce himself as a manager and showed little concern, instruc
