Hotel Chimayo

We stayed at the hotel for the first time after many trips to Santa Fe. It happens to be located in a very nice area just north of the town Square. Great parking. The room was nice enough, the beds were comfortable and clean. It’s a very old building very historic in Santa Fe terms. Best of all the low and slow bar and pizza restaurant is located on the main floor attach to the hotel. Just so happens this is one of our favorite little spots in Santa Fe. We had some fantastic drinks and pizza there. We will definitely come back. The staff was very friendly.

This hotel is not a bad option if you like a vintage 1970’s southwest vibe. It has great character and is charming with a really helpful friendly staff. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the fireplace in the room is a great experience! Only downside is the TV is super small and the shower head aren’t the best. It’s a little tired and aged in spots but overall a great location and great charm with friendly staff and cleanliness.

We had not visited Santa Fe in some time and wanted to be centrally located. We found this hotel to be accommodating, friendly, professional and so very comfortable. The location just a block from the Plaza was ideal. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The bed was heavenly and as it was very cold the week we were there we just added an additional blanket to the bed. Having daily room service, a below ground parking garage and a fireplace was such an unexpected bonus. If you're looking for hot and cold running concierge service, a spa or full breakfast restaurant please skip this lovely hotel. There is a full selection of continental breakfast items in the lobby every morning beginning at 6am (muffins, granola bars, fruit, piping hot coffee/water - selections of teas and hot chocola

The location is incredibly convenient—right in downtown Santa Fe—making it easy to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable one- or two-night stay. The only downside was that the room felt a bit dark, so if good lighting is important to you, that’s something to keep in mind. The staff was friendly, helpful, and happy to offer great recommendations for places to check out. Having underground parking was also a nice bonus, especially if you’re traveling with a car. Overall, the hotel has a lot of charm and character and felt very safe. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great downtown location for a short stay.
