Hotel Charlee Palm Villas - Beach Hotel

Stayed here 2 years ago. We were greeted through a cloud of weed smoke from the housekeeper on the stairs to our room door that looked like it was kicked in by police several times. Upon entering we couldn’t see out of the window because it was covered in flies. Our shoes stuck to the filthy carpet. The bathroom, walls and furniture were dirty and gross. The bed had zero sheets on it and you sank to the boxspring through the worn out mattress. And it looked like everyone pulled out on the pull out couch. We had booked 2 nights and we weren’t going to stay the second night d/t sleeping in our clothes in fear of catching something. We were denied a refund from the office worker who quickly threw us out of the office after I canceled the room and asked for a refund. I wouldn’t stay he

We had a good experience this past week! Plenty of space for people to sleep. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was great and friendly! The rooms need some upgrading, Our bathroom had flys and the tub felt weird when you showered almost like you were going to fall through. I read some of the reviews and i think for the price and how close to the boardwalk you get what you get and move on!

My son stayed here for a weekend with his friends. Upon checkout, he was told he would receive the security deposit back shortly. He waited several days, no refund. He contacted the hotel and they said he would receive the money in a few days. Guess what, still no money! My son went to the bank because the hotel insisted they refunded the security deposit. The bank had no record of the transaction; they only had a record of the money that was withdrawn. I called the hotel on my son's behalf and I was met with a resistant, rude, and unprofessional staff member who alleged there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation. As I pressed him to make it right, he proceeded to hang up on me. We will be pursuing this legally, but parents especially beware! This hotel does allow 18 year olds

For the price we paid for the night, it wasn’t the worst thing in the world, we got the room so we could just have a place to sleep after being out for the night and so we could attend a boardwalk event early in the morning. I will say, the man behind the desk and that I spoke to on the phone was very nice, he made the interaction easy and was very kind. The room was not the best, the bathroom seemed to be the most clean part and I was happy with that, but there were cigarette holes in the chair and a large rip in it, the carpet by the heater was a bit dirty, we didn’t have any towels, but for the amount of time we were staying, we didn’t have time or need to shower, so I wasn’t upset about that all that much. Do not stay here. It was terrible. The place was not clean and we had to call for towels and washcloths after we checked in. Clean towels arrived right away after we called for them and the guy who delivered them was extremely nice. However, we had a stopped-up sink and called for that to be fixed. We were told someone would come in 15 mins but no one ever came to fix this. We had to brush our teeth in the bathroom because of this. This place is dog friendly. The beds were comfortable but the room was not clean.
