The Sunrise Motel

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The place was spotlessly clean, the decor was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the overall atmosphere was very cozy. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive — they truly care about their guests and made us feel very welcome. The only small downside was the kitchen. While the space was there, it didn’t have any basic utensils like plates, forks, or pans. If you’re planning to cook, I’d recommend bringing your own cookware. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others!

I was taken back by the lack of cleanliness, the diy repairs on the room, and the overall condition. The bathroom sink - we couldn’t get any hot water out of it. The shower/tub - there was no way to regulate the water temp and as the regulator was broken and just spinned in circles. There were holes in the walls, and the tv was a 28 inch that was so far away from the beds and up in the wall you could barely see any show you were watching. The pool area was very small as well so it was always packed - no room to enjoy it. The room was dark and the one window was up against the building next to it so you couldn’t see any light. I wasn’t comfortable at all the whole time I was there and couldn’t wait to leave.

Sunrise Motel - A Basic Stay in a Great Location Keep your expectations low, as this is a basic motel, but great location, and we felt safe. They have a small pool on the premises with a grill for anyone who would like to use it Room: The room was basic, equipped with a small fridge and a microwave. Bed: The queen bed was comfortable and had clean sheets. Location: Excellent location, situated just a block from the boardwalk and right next to various restaurants. Issues: Our two main issues were the lack of a coffee maker in the room or coffee offered by the motel. The only coffee option was a convenience store across the street, which sold a large, weak black coffee for $4, which was a rip-off. Also, there were no side tables next to the bed. My family and I stayed here 7/21-7/23! We had the best time, the staff at the front desk were so nice & very welcoming! The motel is only about a block from the boardwalk/beach, very convenient especially with having two littles walking to & from!! I will definitely be staying here again next year! I love that there is a stove/oven, mini fridge, & a microwave!
