Hotel 55 Chicago Downtown

Great hotel in the heart of the city. Rooms were very clean and modern. Staff were very nice and informative. They recommended LaScarola for dinner and the food and vibes were fabulous. Great place to stay!!

Great location close to many cool places. Which also means that you are close to noise- sirens. Fortunately you will have e a super fan system you can leave on to help drown them out. Maids are super. Front desk is very nice. Lobby small but very nice. Front entrance super awkward unless they have a doorman which is totally necessary! Elevators small but very quick. Restaurant is not theirs but food and service are great - even tho mood feels dull, oddly! Prices are great.

Great location next to Bally’s Casino and across from Trader Joe’s. Self parking was really easy through third-party app. Just right me behind a hotel in the same building. I really like the hotel and the room.

I typically dont leave reviews but this hotel was beautiful! From the moment we checked in the staff was extremely friendly! Our room was very clean and the location of this hotel was perfect! Literally steps away from the Mag Mile! We will be staying here again!!!

Will unfortunately never stay at this property again. No clue how this place has a rating over 3 stars. The rooms are tired and past their prime. Closet doors and furniture doors that don’t shut/barely hanging on. Pictures don’t reflect reality - missing all the nice touches to make the place feel comfortable that are shown in the photos. Ceiling paint flaking, window treatments off their tracks. Was told to go to the gym for a refill on water that they don’t provide refills on multi day stays. Poor recognition of elite status members (titanium lifetime here). The hotel was booked at 27% occupancy and I know why. Was provided a single tier upgrade to a slightly larger room on the interior ‘courtyard’ - basically looking out at another building 30’ away. No body wash. A coup
